About Pit Lane Daily

An independent Formula 1 news aggregator, results archive and race calendar.

What this is

Pit Lane Dailygathers Formula 1 coverage from across the sport's press and groups it by story, so you can see who reported something first and who followed. Alongside the news it keeps a results archive, championship standings, a driver, team and circuit registry, and a calendar of every session.

How the news works

We read publishers' own RSS feeds. For each article we store the headline, a short excerpt, the link and the publication time — never the full text. Articles about the same events are grouped into a single story, and each story credits the outlet that published first. Every headline links out to the original.

Summaries on story pages are generated automatically from the headlines and excerpts of the articles in that story. They are meant to orient you, not to replace anyone's reporting.

Where the data comes from

  • Race results, standings and the schedule come from open motorsport datasets.
  • Driver and team details, photographs and circuit maps come from Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, with attribution on our image credits page.
  • Broadcast listings are compiled by hand and re-checked each season.

Independence

Pit Lane Daily is an independent fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Formula 1, the FIA, or any team. Formula 1, F1 and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.

Some links earn us a commission — those are always labelled. See our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Automated data goes wrong sometimes: a name mis-tagged, a result out of date, a story grouped with the wrong coverage. If you spot something, tell us and we will fix it.
