Alpine rules out Renault engine return

Renault has confirmed that it will not be re-entering the Formula 1 engine market for Alpine, despite discussions about a potential return to V8 engines by 2031. CEO Francois Provost stated that the company is committed to its decision made last year to cease engine development, aiming to avoid creating uncertainty within the team.

Instead, Provost highlighted the switch to Mercedes power units as a significant factor in Alpine's recent recovery, indicating that the performance of the Mercedes engine has been beneficial for the team's progress this season.
