Ferrari and junior features in Haas test amid F1 seat speculation

Rafael Camara, a driver from the Ferrari Academy, participated in a TPC test for Haas at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimao. This test is significant as it coincides with speculation about a potential race seat opening at Haas for the 2027 season. Alongside Camara, Ryo Hirakawa and McLaren junior Leonardo Fornaroli also took part in the test, driving the VF-25 car. Camara is currently competing in the F2 championship, where he is trailing Nikola Tsolov, and his performance in this test could influence his future in Formula 1.

Ferrari maintains a close partnership with Haas, often providing junior drivers for development opportunities. Team Principal Fred Vasseur emphasized the comprehensive support Camara is receiving, which includes financial backing and extensive testing. As Camara prepares for the upcoming F2 race at Monza, he aims to close the 22-point gap to Tsolov in the championship standings.
