Steiner raised concerns about how Ferrari's pit wall might perceive Hamilton's remarks, suggesting they could view him as self-serving. Following the race, Hamilton's fourth-place finish resulted in him losing his second position in the standings to George Russell, who has the same number of points but one additional victory, leaving Hamilton 59 points behind the championship leader, Kimi Antonelli, with several races still to come.
