Hamilton fastest in Silverstone practice session

Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets in the only practice session for the British Grand Prix, finishing ahead of championship leader Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc. The session saw Hamilton clock a time that was 0.213 seconds faster than Antonelli, with George Russell and Oscar Piastri also featuring in the top five. The weather was clear and warm, contributing to a record attendance expected at Silverstone this weekend.

The session was largely uneventful apart from a spin by Piastri. Hamilton, who holds the record for the most wins at Silverstone, is looking to capitalize on his home advantage as the weekend progresses, with sprint qualifying set to take place later in the day.
