Herta misses out on extra Super License point due to Cadillac hydraulic issue
Image via racer.comColton Herta faced a setback at the Italian Grand Prix when a hydraulic issue cut short his FP1 session, preventing him from earning an extra Super License point. He only managed to complete five laps before being instructed to stop the car, which left him unable to meet the required mileage for the point. This incident followed a challenging day for Herta, who also crashed during Formula 2 practice and qualified in 20th position for the race later that day.
Despite the difficulties, Herta remains optimistic about his development in Formula 1. He plans to participate in another FP1 session at the upcoming United States Grand Prix and has arranged simulator time to enhance his skills during a break in the Formula 2 calendar. Herta noted that he has been seeing improvements in his performance and is looking forward to future opportunities to drive.
