Honda spots hidden Spanish GP hazard after ‘killer track’ warning

Honda has raised concerns about the La Monumental corner at the new Madring circuit, stating it will pose significant challenges for the lubrication systems of the 2026 F1 engines. The corner, which is expected to have high entry speeds and substantial G-forces, has prompted Honda to consider starting with conservative lubrication settings during the race weekend.

Aston Martin's chief trackside engineer, Mike Krack, has refrained from labeling the track as a 'killer track,' as suggested by Williams' James Vowles. He noted that while there were many incidents during the F3 test, modifications have likely been made to improve the track. Krack emphasized the importance of gathering data from the F3 test to better prepare for the upcoming F1 race.
