She emphasized that the physical demands of racing are not gender-specific, citing her own experience with neck fatigue as a universal issue faced by drivers transitioning to F1 cars from other racing formats.

However, Hawkins pointed out that the junior categories, specifically Formula 2 and Formula 3, present challenges for female drivers due to their heavier steering without power assistance. She suggested that adjustments in these series could facilitate better progression for women in motorsport.
