Krack warns ‘tougher races’ await Aston after favourable Zandvoort

Aston Martin's recent performance at the Dutch Grand Prix saw Fernando Alonso finish 9th after starting from 18th, earning the team two points. Despite this encouraging result, team principal Mike Krack emphasized that the favorable outcome was largely due to the characteristics of the Zandvoort circuit, which suited the AMR26's strengths. He noted that the car's lack of straight-line speed remains a significant handicap, as evidenced by its low qualifying speed compared to competitors like Alpine.

Looking ahead, Krack warned that tougher races are on the horizon, particularly at circuits like Monza and Baku, where speed is critical. He acknowledged that while the team has made progress with their new chassis and power unit, they are still in the process of optimizing these developments.
