Mercedes overtake Ferrari to become F1’s most successful engine builder | Formula 1

Mercedes has officially become the most successful engine builder in Formula 1 history after securing their 252nd victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This achievement allows them to surpass Ferrari, who had held the record for the most wins since 2004.

The majority of Mercedes' victories have come from their factory team, but they have also benefited from customer teams like McLaren, which contributed 101 wins. Other contributors include Brawn GP, which won eight races in 2009, and Racing Point, which claimed one victory in 2020. In contrast, Ferrari's record includes only one win that was not achieved by their factory team.
