Netflix has announced the release of a new documentary titled 'Schumacher '94 - The Birth of a Legend', which will premiere globally on 2 October 2026. This feature-length film will explore Michael Schumacher's journey during his first title-winning season in 1994, highlighting his rise from underdog to world champion.

The documentary will also address significant events from that year, including the tragic accidents at the Imola race weekend. Directed by Christin Freitag, it will include insights from Schumacher's wife, Corinna, and others close to him, reflecting on both his competitive spirit and personal life during a pivotal time in Formula 1 history.
