Norris on pole: 'Everything just came together'

Lando Norris secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix, narrowly defeating championship leader Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011 seconds. After initially qualifying sixth, Norris found significant speed on his final lap, clocking a time that he regarded as one of the best in his career, despite making a mistake in the last corner that cost him additional time.

McLaren's team principal, Andrea Stella, praised Norris's performance, highlighting the potential of the car that had been evident throughout the weekend. The starting grid will see Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on the second row, with George Russell in sixth place, just ahead of Piastri.
