Red Bull hopes for F1 development lifeline as FIA's new ADUO decision looms

Red Bull is awaiting the results of the second Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) period, which concluded after the Hungarian Grand Prix. The team had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the first ADUO outcome, where they were ranked highest, but received no development tokens, while competitors like Mercedes and Ferrari secured upgrade opportunities. The FIA's measurements were deemed accurate, but Red Bull's team principal questioned the validity of their ranking as the best engine on the grid.

The upcoming announcement regarding the second ADUO period is crucial for Red Bull, as they hope to receive a development token. To do so, they must demonstrate a deficit of more than 2% to the best internal combustion engine.
