Ugochukwu and Campos secure F3 titles at Madring

Ugo Ugochukwu made history by becoming the first American to win the FIA Formula 3 championship, achieving this milestone at Madring on September 15, 2026. The final race saw Ugochukwu start level on points with Freddie Slater but secure the title by finishing second, while Tuukka Taponen claimed victory. Ugochukwu's consistent performance throughout the season culminated in a total of 159 points, comfortably ahead of Slater's 145 points.

Campos Racing also celebrated a successful weekend, having secured the Teams' Championship earlier in the event. They finished the season with 334 points, significantly outpacing their closest rivals, Trident. Ugochukwu's achievement adds to his accolades for the year, as he previously won the Formula Regional Oceania championship. The team's strategy focused on maintaining positions rather than taking unnecessary risks, ultimately leading to their double championship victory.
