Alpine hits back… again at ‘hate and abuse’ after Baku fallout

Alpine has issued a statement condemning the online abuse directed at its drivers and members of the Formula 1 community following the chaotic aftermath of Franco Colapinto's crash during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The incident, which also involved Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris, resulted in the retirement of all three drivers, leading to frustration and calls for accountability from Norris.

The team highlighted that the hate and abuse are not aimed at any specific nationality or fanbase, but rather a broader issue within the sport. Alpine emphasised the need for healthy competition without personal attacks and reiterated its commitment to working with the championship promoter and governing body to address online abuse and foster a respectful environment in motorsport.
