F1TECH: McLaren's Zandvoort upgrade package explained

McLaren has launched a new aerodynamic upgrade package for the MCL40 ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. This package focuses on enhancing rear-end downforce and aerodynamic efficiency, featuring a redesigned rear wing, revised engine cover, and updated rear brake ducts. Each component is engineered to improve performance without sacrificing efficiency, particularly in the medium-to-high-speed corners characteristic of the Zandvoort circuit.

The new rear wing is designed to provide additional downforce while the revised engine cover optimizes airflow towards the rear of the car. The changes aim to give drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri better rear grip and performance in varying wind conditions, making the car more competitive in one of the most aerodynamic circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.
