FIA announces circuit configuration for Italian Grand Prix at Monza and it could help Ferrari

The FIA has introduced a new circuit configuration for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix at Monza, featuring four designated zones where drivers can utilize a new Straight Mode. This mode allows for adjustments to the front and rear wings to reduce aerodynamic drag, enhancing performance on straight sections of the track. Unlike the previous DRS system, this mode is now an integrated part of the car's capabilities, enabling all drivers to activate it within the specified zones regardless of their position relative to other cars.

Additionally, a new Overtake Mode has been implemented, granting drivers a boost of electric energy when they are close to a competitor. Ferrari is set to debut an engine upgrade named ADUO-2 during this race, aimed at maximizing the advantages of these new energy modes. The changes are expected to impact the race dynamics significantly, particularly benefiting Ferrari on their home turf.
