Gasly benched for Monza FP1 as Aron gets Alpine run

Paul Aron has been given the opportunity to drive in the first practice session at Monza, replacing Pierre Gasly, who will join later in the weekend. This marks Aron's second time in the A526, and he aims to provide valuable feedback on the team's recent upgrades while fulfilling the regulatory requirement for rookie driver practice sessions. After his stint, Aron will continue to support the team by working on the simulator at their Enstone base.

Gasly, who has a significant history at Monza including his maiden victory in 2020, expressed his enthusiasm for the race weekend. He views Monza as a 'home' race due to his residence in Milan and is eager to build on his recent performance in Zandvoort. While waiting for his turn in FP2, Gasly is focused on contributing to the team's efforts in the championship.
