F1 team boss sets driver lineup deadline with grand prix winner facing the axe

Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu has confirmed that the team has not yet made a decision regarding their driver lineup for the 2027 season, particularly concerning Esteban Ocon's position. Ocon has described himself as a 'free agent', while Rafael Camara is currently the leading candidate to take his seat alongside Ollie Bearman, who is also a Ferrari Driver Academy talent.

Komatsu indicated that a final decision will be made soon, within the next couple of weeks, as the team completes its evaluations. He highlighted the importance of both speed and team integration in selecting drivers, suggesting that Ocon's future could still be viable depending on upcoming discussions.
