Jenson Button has ‘never’ seen Max Verstappen so ‘excited’ after claiming maiden Singapore GP pole

Max Verstappen expressed immense joy after securing his first pole position at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, a milestone that also marked his 50th career pole in Formula 1. Jenson Button, commenting on Verstappen's performance, highlighted how excited the Dutch driver was, noting that it was a significant moment for him.

Verstappen's achievement came after he won the Sprint race earlier in the weekend, and he is now aiming for his first victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Button remarked on the close competition during qualifying, particularly with Lewis Hamilton, before Verstappen ultimately clinched pole. The Dutch driver is now focused on converting this pole position into a race win.
