King Willem-Alexander to present F1 Dutch GP winner's trophy at Zandvoort

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is set to present the winner's trophy at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, marking his first official appearance at a sporting event for this purpose. Although he and Queen Máxima have attended the race since its return in 2021, their previous visits were private. The Dutch Grand Prix will take place at Zandvoort from August 21-23, 2026, and will feature a sprint race weekend format.

The event has seen significant success, with Max Verstappen winning three consecutive races from 2021 to 2023, followed by victories from Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in 2024 and 2025. However, the organizers have decided not to continue beyond 2026, with Zandvoort set to be removed from the Formula 1 calendar in 2027. This decision was made to conclude the event on a high note, according to the director of the Dutch Grand Prix.
