Lewis Hamilton rejects logic of bold 2027 F1 calendar call

Lewis Hamilton has expressed his disapproval of the decision to introduce a Sprint Race at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2027, stating that it makes no sense. He emphasised that Monaco, known for its beauty and challenging circuit, requires a unique solution to enhance the race experience rather than following the same formula as other races.

Hamilton acknowledged that while Sprint Races have added excitement to Formula 1, they are not the answer to Monaco's entertainment issues. He suggested that the race format should be rethought to address the lack of overtaking and overall excitement, rather than simply adding more races to the calendar.
