Liam Lawson reacts to thrilling Max Verstappen battle in Sepang

Liam Lawson had an impressive performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix, where he fought wheel-to-wheel with Max Verstappen in the closing stages. Despite the challenging wet conditions, Lawson capitalised on his strategy to secure a seventh-place finish, marking himself as the 'best of the rest' alongside Fernando Alonso.

Reflecting on his race, Lawson expressed pride in his team's decisions regarding tyre choices and acknowledged the luck that helped him improve from a previous P12 finish in Baku. He noted that while he was pleased with his start, he wished he had defended more vigorously against fellow Australian Oscar Piastri during the race.
