Red Bull to continue RB22 development until end of 2026 season, insists Pierre Waché
Image via f1technical.netRed Bull Racing has committed to ongoing development of its RB22 car through the end of the 2026 season, as stated by technical director Pierre Waché. The team aims to improve its performance and return to winning races, having made progress since the start of the season but still trailing behind competitors. Waché highlighted the importance of maximizing the current regulations to enhance both the car's capabilities and the team's understanding of the new technical era in Formula 1.
Despite facing limitations due to aerodynamic testing restrictions, Red Bull is determined to push forward with upgrades. Waché acknowledged that the team began the season at a disadvantage, partly due to a late focus on the previous year's championship. He indicated that Red Bull is not yet ready to shift its focus to the next generation of cars, believing that refining the RB22 will yield valuable insights and competitive advantages in the current season.
