The F1 rookies taking part in Italian GP FP1

Four teams are utilizing the Italian GP weekend to fulfill their rookie driver obligations for the 2026 season during FP1 at Monza. Each team is required to run a rookie driver, defined as someone with no more than two grand prix starts, in FP1 on four occasions per season, twice per car.

The rookie drivers participating include Ayumu Iwasa in Red Bull, Luke Browning in Williams, Paul Aron in Alpine, and Colton Herta in Cadillac. This event marks an opportunity for these drivers to gain valuable experience in Formula 1.
