Fred Vasseur 'driver protection' crucial after 'taking a beating' at Ferrari

Fred Vasseur, the team principal of Ferrari, is facing increased scrutiny over his position within the team, particularly due to the lack of recent title challenges. Despite this, both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have publicly backed Vasseur, asserting that he is the right person to lead Ferrari through these challenging times.

Jacques Villeneuve commented on the pressures associated with being at Ferrari, noting that the team principal often bears the brunt of criticism when results falter. He highlighted that Vasseur's support from the drivers provides him with a layer of protection, which could be crucial as the team navigates its current difficulties.
