Ferrari is currently in a competitive position, sitting just 72 points behind Mercedes in the constructors' championship. Leclerc highlighted the importance of maintaining an aggressive development approach as the season progresses. Vasseur has also indicated that improvements will be made to the power unit, ensuring that Ferrari keeps pace with its development goals throughout the 2026 season, which operates under a cost cap of $215 million.
