Constructors' championship

Introduced in 1958, eight years after the drivers' title. Because it counts both cars, it rewards depth rather than a single standout — a team with two consistent points finishers can beat one with a winner and a straggler.

It matters commercially more than it does romantically: finishing position determines each team's share of the sport's revenue, which is why the fight for a place nobody is celebrating can still be worth tens of millions.
