Christian Horner is heading for Ferrari as 'sack the manager' vibes hit fever pitch

Christian Horner is increasingly linked with a move to Ferrari, with reports suggesting that he views the team as his 'dream' destination. This speculation has intensified following his recent interview where he indicated a willingness to forgo his usual aim of owning a piece of the next team he works for, should it be Ferrari. Current team principal Fred Vasseur is facing significant pressure as Ferrari's season falters, leading to discussions about potential managerial changes.

Former F1 team manager Peter Windsor believes that Horner's move is likely, given the current atmosphere at Ferrari. He emphasizes that for Horner to replicate his success at Red Bull, he must bring in a top engineer, akin to Adrian Newey, to lead the design of a competitive car. Without such support, Windsor cautions that Horner may struggle to achieve the success Ferrari has long sought.
