Emerson Fittipaldi names the current F1 driver who reminds him most of Ayrton Senna

Emerson Fittipaldi, a close friend and mentor of Ayrton Senna, has named Max Verstappen as the current Formula 1 driver who most closely resembles Senna's driving style. Following Verstappen's victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2026, Fittipaldi highlighted Verstappen's unique ability to extract performance from less competitive cars, stating that he is currently the best driver in the sport.

Fittipaldi's comparisons to Senna are not new, as he previously noted Verstappen's exceptional talent during the 2024 season. Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli is emerging as another driver drawing parallels to Senna, with Martin Brundle making similar comparisons. Despite Antonelli's admiration for Senna, he prefers not to be directly compared to the legendary driver as he strives to carve out his own legacy.
