Guenther Steiner reveals key to Laurent Mekies' Red Bull F1 success

Guenther Steiner, the former Haas Formula 1 team principal, has commended Laurent Mekies for his effective leadership at Red Bull Racing. Following the departure of Christian Horner, Mekies took over as CEO and team principal in July 2025, managing to stabilize the team amidst significant personnel changes, including the exits of Adrian Newey and Helmut Marko.

Steiner highlighted Mekies' ability to maintain composure and focus on the team's objectives, which contributed to Red Bull's recent success, including a victory for Max Verstappen at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Steiner noted that Mekies' extensive experience in Formula 1 has been crucial in navigating challenges and fostering a positive team environment.
