Penalty or not, Hadjar believes second on Bahrian GP grid was possible
Image via racer.comIsack Hadjar expressed his belief that he could have secured second place on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix, but a five-place grid penalty due to an engine change has left him starting from eighth. He qualified third behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton but felt he could have improved his position had it not been for issues during his final qualifying lap.
Despite his frustration with the penalty, Hadjar acknowledged the significant improvements Red Bull has made in recent races. He noted that the car's performance was surprisingly good on a low grip surface, which typically does not suit its characteristics. Hadjar is looking forward to the race, where he will compete against strong teams like Mercedes, McLaren, and Ferrari.
