'Very scary!' - Antonelli relieved Verstappen is not in F1 title fight

Kimi Antonelli expressed relief that Max Verstappen is not competing for the 2026 Formula 1 title after Verstappen's recent dominance, including a victory at the Singapore Grand Prix. Antonelli is in a strong position to clinch the championship at the upcoming United States Grand Prix, needing to outscore his competitors significantly to secure the title.

Despite Verstappen's recent wins, Antonelli managed to finish third in Singapore, aided by a strategic decision from Mercedes to switch to fresh soft tyres. Toto Wolff, the Mercedes team principal, acknowledged Antonelli's high probability of winning the championship, while Verstappen dealt with communication issues during the race but still managed to maintain control and secure the win.
