Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc return to Imola as Ferrari test plans emerge

Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are set to participate in a two-day Pirelli tyre test at Imola following the Spanish Grand Prix. This test, taking place on September 15 and 16, 2026, will also include a TPC run involving junior drivers and reserve drivers, aimed at assisting Pirelli in developing tyres for the 2027 season.

The potential for Imola to host the final race of the F1 2026 season is under consideration, as confirmed by Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali. He indicated that a decision regarding the season finale will be made by mid-September, depending on the status of the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
