McLaren to finally debut its newly-named rotating F1 rear wing at Italian GP

McLaren has officially introduced its H-Wing, a rotating rear wing, at the Monza Grand Prix, following trials at previous races. This innovation is part of McLaren's strategy to enhance performance, particularly aimed at reducing drag on the long straights of the Monza circuit. The H-Wing's name pays homage to the branding of their partner, Etihad Airways, similar to how their previous F-duct was named.

The H-Wing follows the earlier introduction of similar devices by Ferrari and Red Bull, with McLaren having evaluated the wing during practice in Hungary. Alongside the H-Wing, McLaren is also implementing updates to its car's floor. Other teams, including Mercedes and Audi, have made varying degrees of updates, with Mercedes focusing solely on drag reduction and Audi opting out of any updates for this race.
