Stella outlines the logic behind Norris’ ‘unlucky’ stop

Lando Norris' performance in the Spanish Grand Prix was significantly impacted by the timing of a Virtual Safety Car, which led to a late pit stop that ultimately resulted in a third-place finish. McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella explained that the decision to pit was made because staying out would have meant using worn tyres, which would have forced Norris to pit later behind competitors who had already switched to fresher hard tyres.
