Toto Wolff praises Red Bull as Mercedes faces upgrade concerns

Toto Wolff, the team principal of Mercedes, has commended Red Bull for their impressive development, particularly highlighting Max Verstappen's ability to maximise performance. He noted that Red Bull's recent upgrades have significantly improved their competitiveness, making them the benchmark team in Formula 1 this season.

Mercedes is currently evaluating a new upgrade package, which was tested by Kimi Antonelli and George Russell in Singapore. Wolff expressed that while the new car shows promise, it requires a different set-up philosophy than previous models. The team hopes to see improved performance in the upcoming Austin race, which will be vital for their development strategy moving forward.
