Wolff hails Mercedes’ Singapore result as team makes progress with new upgrade package
Image via f1technical.netToto Wolff, the team principal of Mercedes, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance at the Singapore Grand Prix, where Kimi Antonelli secured third place and George Russell finished ninth. The race was challenging due to the difficulty of overtaking at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, but both drivers managed to achieve significant results despite their starting positions of fourth and 19th respectively.
Mercedes also used the Singapore weekend to assess their latest aerodynamic upgrade package, gathering valuable data on its performance. Wolff noted that while the updated specification is more challenging to optimise, the team has made progress in understanding how to extract more performance from it. He believes that the insights gained will be crucial for their development in upcoming races.
