Green flag
The green flag signals that the track is clear and normal racing may resume.
It is shown at the end of a yellow-flag zone, at the restart after a safety car, and at the start of each practice session to indicate the pit lane is open and the circuit is live.
Because it marks the point where overtaking becomes legal again, the exact position of the green flag matters: a pass completed before it is one a driver will be asked to give back.
